Date of walks: Walking Picnics for 2018
Here are the remaining dates for our series of themed Walking Picnics for the Summer season of 2018:
Sat 8th September, 1pm Berries, seeds and fungi, meet at Anderwood, near Lyndhurst This walk in the heart of the ancient forest will be looking for signs of Autumn, as the fruits and seeds emerge, and the first of the Autumn fungi are visible - we are just looking, not picking, or tasting! Followed by a picnic under mature trees on an open lawn. Cost £15 per person.
Food in the Wood - day walk for New Forest Walking Festival
Sat 27th October, 10am start. Bolderwood.
This is a challenging, 10 mile day walk, with lots of home made food included. We meet up for coffee and pastries before heading through the woods on a five mile guided walk (taking 2 hours) through the woods to Anderwood, where we will stop for a three course home made picnic lunch. We will follow a different route back, including open heathland, to return to coffee and cake back at Bolderwood around 4pm. £25 per person, pre-booking essential. Limited to 12 people, so please book early.
